A Washington, D.C. native, Geoffrey Deibel is emerging as an important American voice for the saxophone. Geoff has performed in a variety of settings, from appearances with the New World and Grant Park Symphony Orchestras, to numerous new-music ensembles. This all-saxophone ensemble won the 2007 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, and the 2008 NASA Quartet Competition. H2 presents concerts and master classes at schools and universities across the United States, and has performed at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. Firmly committed to the music of our time, Geoff has premiered works by Jesse Ronneau, Elliott Sharp, Mari Takano, Drew Baker, Marcos Balter, and Howard Sandroff, among others. He has performed at the Iannis Xenakis Festival, the World Saxophone Congress, and at University College Cork, Ireland. Geoff holds BM and MM degrees and a BA in History from Northwestern University.
