Radio Broadcast Journalist, Announcer, Voice Talent….Karlon Gabriel Lett never thought that one day he would be living out one of his passions and dreams to become a broadcaster. (He is now concentrating on the voice talent aspect of himself).This journey began with his training with media pioneer, Dave Elcock (one person he considers as his mentor) and continued with Madonna Sampson–Doyle of MAS-Comm Limited.While still knocking on the doors of radio stations but to no avail, Karlon did voice overs for seminar tapes, and small commercials whenever the opportunity presented itself.With the advent of Trinidad’s 1st Gospel FM station and the encouragement of his grandmother (his number one fan), he decided to explore the possibility of joining the station and destiny took its course.The last of three boys, Karlon is a former student of Diego Martin Government Secondary School in Trinidad. Today, Karlon is one of the familiar voices on the station, where he is the morning news presenter, and sometimes he fills in as an announcer.He co-hosts the children’s programme Kingdom Kids, on Saturdays with Hassina Persaud (Aunty Hassina). Karlon is the voice of five loveable characters on the programme: BB Wolf, Abdul, Pirate, Surfer Dude and Granny, plus a host of others which he says might just happen to pop up in his head.Humbled by the fact that he is living out his dreams, he is happy that he is also able to give back to the listenership of the station through his variety of talents.The journey so far has been exciting, but Karlon firmly believes that it has only just begun.Karlon can be contacted for voice jobs through mobile at 1-868-484-8645 or you can email him at
