About Me

Ok, now for the third update on my life. If you have read the first two, you must be crazy, if you are one of those who have bugged me for a new update, i love you, and you are crazy, if you are one of those people rolling your eyes because you noticed i have changed my updates, you are like most. which makes you crazy. anyway, where to begin.
So lets see where i should start. Well things are going pretty well for me down here. I currently have, for the first time since college, roommates. Its good, but for the most part i try to stay out of their hair. I have disrupted their lives enough, ask kyle what living with me is like and i am sure he will agree. But it does mean i am out of the hotels. For anyone who loves hotel life when they go on vacation i am right there with you. I used to love having a hotel room and having people take care of me and all the great perks of hotels, however they are no place to call home and i couldnt be happier not being in one anymore. It also means i have 2 dogs who get to bug me as much as is possible. And they succeed in that. Two little rat dogs. One growls if you look at it, let alone touch it, and the other cant stand not to be near someone - usually me. and we all know my feelings on rat dogs.
Christmas was great. I got to see friends and family. Thanks to all of those who put up with my hectic schedule and my apologies to anyone i didnt get to see or didnt get to see that much of. For what it is worth those who i did get to see i only saw once. I will do what i can to get more time next time i go back. I hope everyone had a good new year. As much as i would love to have spent it with you all i had a great time down here celebrating with my friends from down here. We spent the night playing poker - well they spent all night, i was out first having gone all in with 2 pair kings & sevens and lost to kings and tens.
Well now as we all know, what update would be complete without a flight school update. so let it be so. Got some good news and some unchanged news. The good news is that i do not need to get a waver for my LASIK surgery. What does that mean? Simple, my reapplication to the active component doesnt need to go to Rucker and back over the course of a month. This is great news since it wasn't likely to happen as it is. This leads to the unchanged news which is that nothing seems to be changing in my hopes of going straight to active duty which means that i am going to have to reapply. So for those of you who were there for my last application date (which is only one of you thank you all so very much - and chances are she doesnt even remember it) it means we are looking at a repeat, just hopefully with a lot less of me falling out of chairs.
Alright, time is running short and so is my desire to keep typing so the final update. I dont know what my future is going to be holding but i can tell you that it is going to revolve around flight school. And in good old fashioned living life around the military it means i dont know where i am going to end up. Here is a list of my current options and a little bit about each one.
OHIO - Well its where i have lived for the past 8 years so when my orders are up in a little more than a month i will have to decide if i am going back there to get a job or not.
FLORIDA - I have been living here for almost 4 months and have enjoyed going outside any time of the day or night in a T-shirt so i may just stick around. My income opportunities down here include a civilian job or getting my orders extended. Recently i have found out that my orders may be extendable at least until i find out what the board decided and then possibly up until i leave for rucker.
WASHINGTON STATE - Well I went from the 256th to a command unit which means there are only a few more steps up to go. I am currently applying for a position within the pentagon. It means class As every day and rubbing shoulders with generals. Well sort of. The envelope cap isnt a great thing but maybe i can get a coin higher than dougs and then we can go to the bar whenever we want and i am guarenteed 1 free drink.
WASHINGTON, DC - Much like the above, i am also applying for a tour on what is called military ave. I would be working for a section of DA (Department of the Army) doing something there. I dont particularly love the idea of living in DC but the biggest turnoff is the high cost of living and since the army would pay for it, i guess i could handle it.
SOUTH AMERICA - I know its a pretty big area to say but we currently have missions in nearly every country of South America and it seems likely i will be able to get to join one of them. This means i would get to hang out in South America doing various humanitarian stuff until i leave for flight school. This one rates pretty high up simply because i can say that i have been to south america. Besides i can always go back and tell Farquar all about it and get bonus points incase i decide to go back to highschool.
Well you now know almost everything going on in my life so you can call yourself Chris however it hasnt exactly opened golden doors for me so i would recommend calling yourself whatever it was that you called yourself before you started reading this. I will update more when i know more which means in about a month or so i will throw up some more bullshit which you wont care about either.

My Interests

Guitar, my motorcycle, music, movies, cars and girls

Music:

Anything and everything. A few more trips to the Post and Beam and that might become really true. however, for the moment i dont listen to country.

Movies:

Whatever i feel like. My collection includes Action, drama, suspence, comedy, TV, and a few chickflicks. Dont let the kids stuff fool you, it was primarily for the girl i was dating who had a kid, however there is nothing wrong with drinking a beer or two on saturday night and watching Tarzan II.

Television:

HBO! because it comes with the apartment. Other than that, any adult based cartoon rocks (Family Guy, Futurama, and the Simpsons are favorites) I work too sporatically to get into watching one show religiously. Well until March when the sopranos comes back. Yeah, i wont be working another sunday night for a whole season.

Books:

Working on Steel My Soldiers' Hearts It is a great book about the troopers of Viet Nam. All time favorites since highschool still include Laural Hamilton's Anita Blake Series.

Heroes:

Ummm me. I'm a superhero. what? you didnt know?
