About Me

Hello my dear myspace friends ~ It appears my myspace page has gone insane leaving me with an account that only allows me to view your lovely messages and comments but will not let me email you back or even post a comment or blog. If you have emailed me in the past month and have not heard back, that is why. After repeatedly emailing myspace's technical department all I have received back in the past 6 weeks are two identical emails stating "please be patient, the issue is currently being resolved" but still, I have yet to see this profound resolution.
I have since started a back up page so I can at least have contact again, but even that is difficult since you can only log into 1 account at a time. So I am writing to let you know I am still going to leave this as my main page in hopes they will resolve the issue. For now, if you'd like to email me, feel free to do so at www.myspace.com/kimdivinemusic or through the contact page at www.kimdivine.com .
much love and happy new year!
xoxo

Kim Takes Home 2 Gold HAT's in the 2006 San Diego H.A.T. Awards (Honoring Acoustic Talent) for "Best Female Singer/Songwriter" & "Best Female Vocalist"
The Pulse Magazine writes...
Meet The Tiny Artist with the Huge Voice (and Soul)
"She is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and all-around inspirational gal who is winning the hearts of audiences around the world with her ethereal vocals and thought-provoking lyrics. DiVine, may be a mere 25 years old, but her albums, Here and In Between and Hummingbird, display volumes of wisdom and experience. DiVines music brings a freshness that is deceivingly light upon first listen. A second listen reveals the passionate intensity which DiVine has poured into every aspect of her musical creations. In short, this chick is deep." - Christine Walsh, August 2nd 2006
The North County Times notes in their review of Hummingbird...
"Kim DiVincenzo's new CD has only six songs ---- but what songs! Presenting an intelligent yet melodic approach to pop-folk, San Diego's DiVincenzo (who has recently shorted her family name to Divine for her music) has crafted an independent debut with all the polish and vision of a major label release.
With DiVine's rich, expressive voice and intoxicating melodies (she wrote all the songs here), producer Keith Orfanides had a lot to work with. Still, the production levels on this release have to be heard to be believed. The opening track, "Home (Stickin' Around)" features multilayered vocal harmonies, echoed guitar chords, and a haunting introduction on violin augmented by a minimalist rhythm on drums before Divine's haunting vocals join in on the verse. By the time the song expands into the breathtakingly lovely chorus, this first track is awfully darn close to pop music perfection." - Jim Trageser, June 2006
Ok, now for my words...
I am a girl from Massachusetts who moved out to San Diego to chase her dreams. I miss the beautiful New England seasons but I love the perfect climate, beach days, and the constantly changing characteristics of So Cal. The number "5" has always been my lucky number and it somehow finds it's way into my everyday. It is the little things in life that make me smile most all the time: the color green, soy latte's, Sunday eggs and toast, candy and popcorn at the movies, wearing a scarf when it gets just a tad chilly out, ripping the plastic off a cd I just bought and putting in the player the second I get into my car, drinking wine at dinner, playing on my laptop for hours, driving too fast in my Red GTI (named skittles), pilates and sweating hard at the gym, walking around the mall and trying not to buy anything, carving down the mountain on my snowboard (it has been too long), painting and other crafty things...And of course bigger things like spending time with my two favorite girls, my mom and my sister. Being incredibly loved and protected by two father figures, although missing it from the real one. Laughing hard with my friends, telling a story with a song and sharing it with whom ever will listen. Life is too good to complain.
Thanks for stopping by ;) Kim
