Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future

About Me

Hey, this is my little corner of cyber-space. I'm married to a great wife, Carole (nine years Sept 2008!), with 9 kids total (We have a 'His, Hers, and Theirs' family). Steven (22), 'Becca (18), Jessica (17), Rachel (16), Justin (14), Christian (14), Shay (10), Emily (8), and Samantha (2). We homeschool and are a member of F.A.I.T.H., a faith-based homeschool group. I am a graduate of Central Hardin HS in Cecilia, KY (Class of 1992), and have attende ECC off and on for 16 years- one day I'll get a degree! I was involved in Boy Scouts of America, but have decided to take a break while we prepare to move to Green County, KY.
I am also a cartoonist/writer who creates comic books, mostly superheroes (yes, I'm a geek, but that's cool), and I'm currently working on a Christian comic book that I hope to self-publish (keep your fingers crossed!). I am also working with Kingdom X Entertainment's line of comics, set to debut in 2009!
Most people that know me think I'm more than slightly obsessed with the late, great Jack "King" Kirby, the most prolific artist in the history of American Comics. And, they're right. I also enjoy the art of Steve Ditko, George Perez, Erik Larsen, Jim Valentino, Alex Ross, Herb Trimpe, Sal and John Buscema, Marie and John Sevrin, Walt Simonson, Jim Aparo, Neal Adams, Nick Cardy, Bill Everett, Wally Wood, Curt Swan, Mike Grell, Dale Keown, Gary Frank, Gene Colan, Jose Garcia-Lopez, Russ Manning, Carl Barks, Don Rosa, Al Hartley, Dan DeCarlo, and Jim Steranko. I prefer comics of the Golden, Silver, and Bronze Ages, but will read anything if it's good.
I'm a baseball fan who follows the KC Royals, Cincinatti Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, and Chicago Cubs. I kinda keep up with the NFL and NBA when they're in season. I'll watch some KU, UK, UofL B-ball and little or no college football.
I guess I'm here to meet up with old friends from high school that I lost touch with, and to do some comic-book networking. Oh, and though I've met some cool people here at Myspace, please remember that their opinions/beliefs may not reflect my own personal beliefs/opinions.
I have two sisters, one brother, and two step brothers and 3 stepsisters. I have family scattered fron one coast to another. I lived in Clay Center, Kansas until I finished the 5th grade (would have been class of 1992), and have lived in KY ever since.
Chances are, if you are a Monasmith, were're related! All Monasmiths are welcome, because... MONASMITHs RULE!!

My Interests
