I am here for Friends

About Me

i'm a big D democrat. then a feminist. then a country music fan from wisconsin. pretty much in that order, too. i currently reside in boston, but hopefully not for much longer. i like people who are intelligent, partisan, and willing to fight for what they believe in, even if it means we are on opposite sides. i like having dinner parties on a friday night, going dancing on a saturday night, and then spending sunday watching all-day marathons of "the girls next door" or "my super sweet sixteen".MySpace Ticker

My Interests

-making people carry me when my feet break -purchasing disposable furniture at Ikea -dancing on boxes at "Cage" -watching the teen classic, "Drive Me Crazy" -playing "quiz bowl" with dumb boys -walt disney on ice -collecting handbags, both the evening and daytime varieties

I'd like to meet:

people looking to bring "sexy back". what the hell happened to sexy? where did it go and why was it gone for so long? clearly the 80's were devoid of sexy and the 90's were relatively lacking in sexy as well, unless you count the rebirth of Prince as a symbol and MC Hammer pants. as for the new millenium, as it were, it ran right past sexy (is sexy getting old?) and smack dab into slutty. so i'm looking to bring sexy back and kick slutty to the curb. i'm with ya, justin, you go bring sexy back. holla!

Music:

anything other than john mayer. and just about anything country, including toby keith, dixie chicks, willie nelson, alan jackson, george strait, yes, even carrie underwood. and i heart U2-best live show i have ever been at last year in boston.

Movies:

i've been watching some really bad movies lately. favorites include PCU, Fire, Taal, War Room, and Old School.

Television:

Entourage, Next Top Model, anything Law and Order, Las Vegas, The Girls Next Door, and any trashy marathon on MTV or VH-1.

Books:

Just finished "Oh Artful Death" by Sarah Stewart Taylor. It was great!!! Have been flying and traveling a lot lately, so have been reading all kinds of trashy throw-away novels, complete with gratuitous sex scenes and insipid plots. Favorites include "What's the Matter with Kansas" and Elizabeth Edwards' book, "Saving Graces"-a must read for anyone with a pulse, not just Democrats and certainly not just John Edwards' supporters. And I have to say, last year I re-read my childhood favorite "The Black Stallion" series (all 20+ of them) and they still rock.

Heroes:

my heroes have always been cowboys, fact is they still are it seems. And my Mom. And Barbara Lawton, the Lt. Gov of Wisconsin.
