About Me

After years of hiding under a variety of band monikers, CLAY BROOME has stepped into the spotlight under his own name. A seasoned singer/songwriter/performer with LOTS of attitude, Clays music runs the gamut from energetic power pop to melodic punk and quite a few points in between. Clay has shared the stage with a number of national acts including Drivin & Cryin, Willie Heath Neal, Flemming & John and the Judybats, just to name a few. CLAY BROOME formed his current band in 2001. Featuring Joe Wilson on drums, Clays longtime friend and sometimes co-writer Scotty Knight (formally of the Dirt Dobbers and Black Diamond Heavies) on guitar and Clay himself on bass, lead vocals and the occasional Dylan influenced bad harmonica break, these guys put out quite an energetic noise of the pleasing sort. Presently, the band is finishing their long awaited full-length debut cd and are looking toward a fall 2007 release. Clay also spends a good chunk of time playing lead guitar on the road for his dear friend Willie Heath Neal as part of Willie's Damned Ole Opry. Listen out for Clay's lead acoustic guitar, bass and harp on Willie's laatest release, 'Lonesome' on Chicken Ranch records. Look for Willie in a city near you....
