As leader of the Royal Playboy Cartel, (RPC), a New York-based hard rock outfit, he toured Europe with Ozzy, Tool, Judas Priest, Robert Plant, and Slayer and recorded with Ron Thal (Guns n Roses), Tommy Musto, and Ken Lewis (David Byrne). Reuniting with RPC guitarist/songwriter Walter Ramin, Gio put together a new band that focused more on vocal melody and hook-filled songs. This new project, simply titled "Gio" is a mix of powerfful hooks, Beatle-esque harmonies, smart lyrics, and contemporary pop sensibility. After completing their long-awaited debut CD, GIO is touring the tri-state area with sold-out club dates and preparing to re-enter the studio with 2 Grammy-award winning producers to record a winter EP of all-new songs including their new single "Waiting" and a cover of Bob Dylan's "I Want You" for the soundtrack to "Immutable" a new film from Twisted Pictures.
