Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing. I believe one's character would not recognize it's reputation if they met on the street. The farther behind I leave my past, the closer I am to forging my own character. I judge the character of others by their conversations.The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don't define them, or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them. A goal without a plan is just a wish. To will is to select a goal, determine a course of action that will bring one to that goal, and then hold to that action till the goal is reached. The key is action. We find no real satisfaction or happiness in life without obstacles to conquer and goals to achieve.
