Getting to know

Morgan Myles
Hello Everyone!!!

I'm 22.

I Guess I am your typical “musician that won’t give up on a dream type.”

I write songs about anything that seems to affect my life…The good or bad/ happy or sad…Hey Life happens so write about it to get over it (believe me it works!)

 Graduate of Belmont Class ‘09.

 My Twitter is Mylestone.

Originally I am from Williamsport, PA.

I went to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA for my freshman year of College. Transferred for Belmont Curb College of Music Business because I really liked the vibe of Music City!

A lot has led me to continue on my path of being an entertainer. I grew up playing at Uptown Music Collective in PA outside of my High School. MY teacher, Dave Braumbaugh, pretty much made me who I am today musically. Dave handed me a bunch of Woodstock Live records and said, “Morgan you learn all of Janis Joplin’s live songs during the summer of ’69 including her scats and you can be her in our rock concert this year.”

The Rest Is History... because Joplin just led to Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt, Eva Cassidy, Jimi Hendrix, and more recent Grace Potter. These influences of mine are incredible. They make me want to get better and better and better and better (ok you get the point!)

Silly other credits I have are: I was Dorothy in the Wiz, Sang the National Anthem at the Little League World Series, Won first place trophies at StarQuest, honestly this is stupid because I feel like I will be whippin’ out the baby album next… moving on

On a more recent note, I released my first album in June ’08 called"Milestone." I wrote all 11 songs and have been promoting it on several radio stations.

My writing style is very personal, but I do have a lot of great co-writers that make living in Nashville a lot of fun. You can see playing a couple nights a week among a lot of these great writers around Nashville. Come check out Lorna Flowers Commodore Night on the Weekends (hint!)

ENGLAND... (Yeah Baby Yeah!) I just did a tour in the UK in March. Wow that was so much fun because of the great audience Stephanie Lambring and I received. We got to play some legendary venues and every night we had a packed house. WOW! After a heartbreak loss of not going on the Brad Paisley tour throughout Canada with Crystal Shawanda (long story, but typical music industry) I needed to get my MOJO back and our three-week singer/songwriter tour was just the medicine…

FUTURE OF MORGAN MYLES... definitely going up from Here! The sky is the limit. I am looking to just gig my heart out with all the passion I have inside me to get through to a great audience. I play hard and man do I work hard, music all the way.

On a side note, I love my parents/family/friends/fans/EVERYONE!

I really love people who can relate to my music and tell me it helps them!!!

I have traveled all over the world like Africa, India, Spain…

I was stung by a man-of-war (really awful jellyfish thing)… Still got them scars lol… I know you wanted to know that…

I love and want to live life to its fullest with no regrets. Music makes me the happiest because I see how much fun my listeners are having. NOTHING feels better than that.

Oh yeah if nothing happens, I am moving to the Caribbean and starting a Reggae band and teaching wake-boarding lessons. But that will be another ten years. (Just letting you know for some odd reason)

Cheers and LOVE

Morgs;)
