The Cartridges

About Me

Charging with a viscerally twisted brand of rock 'n' roll, and a tendency to get tender with some sweet folk numbers, The Cartridges are the band that makes you wanna dance 'till your hardly breathing, and fall in love at the same time. The band has been described as the undescribable and praised for both their diversity and sheer lack of ability to write a song that doesn't stay in your mind for days after hearing it. They take their cue from the great rock heroes of old and new, letting shine through the influence of The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys and Queens Of The Stone Age in a storm of razor sharp guitar riffs and charging rhythms, smoothed over by an infectious pop frenzy of words and melody in the tradition of The Beatles and The Shins.

WAM Song Of The Year 2007: Timothy Nelson won in the Upper Secondary category for his song 'Overcast Day'
