Before you ask: No, I am not the real Che Guevara. Che was murdered a little over 3 decades ago on a political conquest in Bolivia. Besides, he would be in his 70s now, and wouldn't care to make a MySpace - he probably would see it as yet another Capitalist symbol to be condemned. So I don't really know why I'm doing this. Not to insult him, of course. It's kind of a meager tribute. This is simply a nod to a master thinker. Love him, hate him, whatever - But you'd best respect him! He has an undying influence on this world and its thinkers, especially the youth. Che Guevara's physical being may have died, but his spirit lives on. iHasta La Victoria Siempe y Viva La Revolucion!
If you would like to know more than what information is offered below, then please ask...
-My full name is Ernesto "Che" Guevara de la Serna. Che is actually just a nickname that stuck with me.
-I'm of Argentinean/Irish/Spanish blood
-Born May 14th, 1928 (despite records that say I was a Gemini. I was a born a month premature and my mother did not want to admit that to the rest of the family. The first time this issue came up was when an astrologer questioned my mother about the reading she'd just given for me)
-Taurus is my Western star sign, and I was born in the Chinese Dog year
-I like to play rugby even though I have terrible asthma
-I used to dress up for security reasons and... heh... to humor Fidel...
-I'm very close with my family through thick and thin
-I've been married twice... I'd rather not talk about it
-I have 5 lovely kids
-Despite the media's wish to portray me as an evil, warriorlike person, I'm actually pretty calm and down-to-earth, and am passionate about many things. I like arts and crafts and I love to read.
-I was a very precocious child and I have always loved to learn new things.
-I adore travel. I even used to go off by myself on my bike for days at a time as a teen, and later traveled throughout Latin America on a motorbike with my friend (there's a movie about it now, The Motorcycle Diaries, and of course, I have written books about it as well)
-I love to write, and have written some books.
-I am often portrayed as a racist and a murderer... I think that's pretty unfair. I fought for the rights of the indigenous, blacks, and other undermined minorities in Latin America... I did what I honestly thought would work and produce an honest cause. Believe what your heart tells you is correct, and do not simply draw conclusions/opinions on me based solely upon what you have "heard" or what "other people tell" you. You have your own brain, do your own damn research!
