Last Arrow

About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorLast Arrow were formed towards the later quarter of 2005 when Buddy Oli put pen to paper in one of the lads favourite drinking haunts; 'The Orange Tree' on Shakespeare Street. This seemed a fine place to complete the lineup as by no small coincidence 'The Orange Tree' (or 'Clinton Arms' as it was known back in the day) was also the place a group of "shinney" players met in 1865 to discuss a proposition moved by J.S. Scrimshaw to switch games to football. Thus Nottingham Forest F.C. were formed and thus in 2005 Last Arrow followed their lead.Soon after the lads headed to Subway Studios for their first practice closely followed by a morning at Shakespeare Street Studios to record a few demos. Demos they remain and demos for Arrow ears only they shall always remain.Last Arrow made their stage debut in October 2005 to a packed Rose of England as Manchester Night and good friends Akoustik Anarkhy decamped to Merry Olde England for a right old knees up. Since then The Arra as they are now affectionately know have played gigs to audiences around the country including Manchester, London, Stoke, Derby and Preston as well as a number of gigs on home turf. More successful recording sessions have taken place at First Love Studios in Sneinton and the recently opened Subway Studios off Huntington Street. After original geetarist Vash decamped to Dubai for business with the Sheik the lads ambled on until one day the magnet of the Arra and the Shire became to much to resist for a face from the past. Woody left the shadows of Loxley and returned to his homeland to re-string the bow. Gez Wilcoxson was next to leave the fray after a good innings leaving Red* to take up bass duties as the Arra saw in 2008. The lads have been holed up in the practice rooms preparing a new set and are ready to roll a we speak. Look out for full gigs, acoustic sets and the release of the gents first single from here on.We've made some top friends along the way (you know who you are) and we look forward to gerrin' on it many more times over. Gentles, The Arra ===
