Avotor's music has best been described akin to a post-industrial/nuclear soundtrack for a film by Cronenberg or Lynch mixed combined with giant post-rockscapes that at times ebbs and flows from being down right errie whilst at others brutally heavy. Avotor was formed in mid-1998 (in Auckland, New Zealand where they still reside) combining environmental audio influences with modern music techniques.They perform as a 3 piece and have toured throughout New Zealand, Latvia, Germany, Poland, Belgium, UK, and The Netherlands, and have released a new 7" to add to their already extensive discography that will not be available on any album. 2006 saw them play throughout the USA including the SXSW festival and they began recording new pieces for their third record available in 2009.
