BLORT!

Blort started around 1992 in Austin as a drum machine idustrial noise unit. The owner of the drum machine quit before the first gig, an event which led to the introduction of dual drummers John and Koshka who joined Leroy and Chuk Hell ( bass and guitar). Early shows were at a beloved downtown shit hole "THE CAVITY" where the band unleashed a torrent of horrendous noise, dangerous fire antics, live bugs and circus geek mayhem. An ugly spectacle that appealed to only the most degenerate underground music fans.After many years, a couple west coast tours and about 7 bass players the band remains an enigma of the Austin underground scene. Original members Chuk and John are now joined by David ( of the Dogshit Rangers and Exploding Sex Kittens) on bass and still play gigs whenever the hell they feel like it which is not very often.
