One of the most fun and influential bands to ever come out of Florida. STRANGER formed in 1981 under their original name "ROMEO". With such talents as Greg Billings (Vocals), Ronnie Garvin (Guitars), Tom Cardenas (Bass), and John Price (Drums), STRANGER left NOTHING to be desired. Hits like "Jackie's So Bad", "Okeechobee Whiskey", and rock anthem "Thunder Bay" earned STRANGER its enormous fan base, most of which still remain true. Described as "Purveyors of Florida Rock and Roll" and "Thunder Bay's Bad Boys", STRANGER eventually became one of the highest grossing circuit bands ever, leaving no house they played unpacked.
Despite lineup changes, tensions with other bands, and the usual music business politics, STRANGER stayed true to their roots, and seemingly successful, until one fateful day in 1996. Guitarist Ronnie Garvin fell victim to life's pressures, and took his own life. "The shot the broke Florida's heart"
The remaining members continued their musical endeavors. The most noted of these endeavors being Gregg Billings led band "Damn The Torpedos" and the reuiniting of Greg Billings and Tom Cardenas to form "The Greg Billings Band", which is performing to this day.
