HISTORY
LAWS came into effect on 12/31/01 with the recording of their first demo "Constitutional Law" and immediately attracted a rather awesome fan base (that's YOU!)! LAWS brought the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to life in this demo! Songs included the Preamble, Section 1, the Bill of Rights, Filibuster, and Section 7!
After a few shows and selling out of the demos, LAWS became dormant since all the members were in main bands at the time. LAWS is also a project, so playing out is infrequent
However, the Summer of 2002 brought back a short return of LAWS, which called for a new album! Judicial Review was signed, sealed, and delivered. That's 13 songs including such greats as the Honest Abe Headstomp, Where's Your Pride, Common Law, Hung Jury, Roe v. Wade, Amendments 18 and 21, and Live Free or Die! Played quite a bit of shows, and even a college rock fest at Slippery Rock University! Then, as always, LAWS took another nap - a longer one this time!
May 2005 brought back another reunion of LAWS. The Toxic Reaper took over bass duties for Josh Jammers. Three new songs were recorded in what is known as the "Rat Rock Studio Sessions" and can only be found on the LAWS Discography!
Are you wondering if LAWS is still active? Playing any shows? Signing autographs at Pizza Hut? Coming to YOUR house on Christmas Eve? Well, there are no plans at the moment for anything...However, we are like the minutemen of the revolutionary war - we are ready at any moment!
To join the LAWS fan club, send a message and we'll give you the details!
