About Me

2007 Creative Loafing Critics' Pick
Best Punk Rock Band in Tampa Bay
This St. Pete five-piece does The Ramones thing better than anyone in the Bay: melodic three-chord blasts augmented with spot-on fills and spiky solos; propulsive rhythms that burrow into the hips; irreverent, witty lyrics delivered with a seditious sneer; frontman Dave Reeder’s manic stage presence. Check out their freshly minted debut full-length, Evacuate, and don’t you dare miss ’em when they play dives like The Emerald.

Car Bomb Driver may well be one of the most Exciting and Explosive Rock Bands to come out of the Tampa Bay area since the Spring of 2007. This band has nearly all the pieces of the super stardom puzzle and they are not afraid to use them. Amazing Songs, Kick Ass Live Show, Killer Image, and Good Hygiene are the essential elements that have garnered this band legions of fans from all across the civilized world and France.
Despite rumors to the contrary, the guys in Car Bomb Driver care deeply about their fans and have always believed in giving something back to them (notwithstanding the recent STD debacle which was in fact blown all out of proportion) through their emotionally charged live shows and sensibly priced merchandise, souvenirs and homemade jam.
Among other awards, accolades and spurious charges too numerous to list here, Car Bomb Driver has been voted the next “Big Thing” by important music critics and family members for the last ten years. “This band is ready to put in a moderate amount of work and do what needs to be done occasionally to make this happen,” says Floyd Thursby, cousin of the zither player’s uncle.
With Unforgettable Heartfelt Songs and an Incredible Live Show filled with Passion and Energy, Car Bomb Driver is gaining momentum and moving forward faster than a bunch of smelly hippies in a dirty green Volvo on their way to the supermarket snack aisle after a 3-day “Kill Bush and Cheney/Give Peace and Love a Chance” rally. So either get your behind behind them or get out of the way as they bring down the Hammer of the Godz!!! And that RAAAWK thing too.
