Here's my story and I'm stickin' to it! I've wanted to work in radio since I was a kid and I actually got my start when I was 14. I spent most of my formative years getting into trouble but got back on track once I got into broadcasting school. Fast-forward three years and I got hired at WSPD Toledo, a heritage news-talker. That's where I got my first exposure to Glenn Beck. I was 22 at the time and obviously not a fan of conservative talk radio but almost immediately I realized there was something different about what he was doing. The first time I heard moron trivia it was obvious this was like nothing else out there. It was exciting and refreshing like there may be hope yet for talk radio. I won't get into all the gooey details but over time I became a huge fan of the radio show, so much so that when they offered me Fridays off I insisted for Wednesdays instead so I could be on the board for moron trivia and closed line Friday. Obviously the show is hugely popular so who would think that after spending nearly three years dreaming about how cool it would be to be a part of such an awesome organization that it would actually happen! I know, I know...I still have to pinch myself I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I am undoubtedly blessed ; )So now the fun begins! I've left behind my family, friends and everything I'v ever known, sold all of my belongings and spent my savings to come out to NYC and work for Glenn's company, Mercury Radio Arts, Inc and.....it's been totally worth it! I've never once had a doubt or second-guessed the decision. Obviously there are sacrifices involved, I don't know anyone here, I'm broke and it can be lonely but this is my dream and sometimes ya gotta do things that can seem scary if you can ever truly know your potential.
