Biography :Gousia was born in Madras (Chennai) in India.Her name Gousia (pronounced gatchi) was given to her by her birthmother Zarina Begun.
Gousia is a rare Tamil name and it means "on the road to God".
When she was 3 years old she was adopted to Halsnøy, a little island on the western coast of Norway, she was baptized Gousia Carina Særsten in Eid Kyrkje at Halsnøy in 1978 ,and she spent her entire childhood at Halsnøy.Gousia is a Lutheran Christian, and her belief in Lord Jesus Christ is very fundamental in her life. She loves the Lord with all her heart and soul. She has studied Information Technology in Perth for a while, which was a valuable experience for her, after that she worked in the IT-Business as a network administrator, but her passion for writing music always kept her in the studio recording on her spare time. She is very determined and she knows what she wants out of life. She knows that she wants to share her music with people around the world, and she also wants to become a great actress. And because of the fact that she has experienced poverty when she was a baby, she really wants to be able to help the poor children in the streets of Cennai in India.Gousia has always had a need to express herself in one way or another. She has been singing and acting since she was 5 years old and she played the organ for some years during her childhood. Photographers have always taken interest in her looks and she has covered magazines several times as a model. She's also been acting in a TV series and shortfilms. She writes all her lyrics and mainly all her music, and she has also been co-producing her songs. For Gousia singing, writing and producing music is a passion. She loves to be in the studio, she feels that singing, writing and composing music "feeds her soul". She wants to write music that people want to listen to for eternity. She says that she wants to create an atmosphere where the audience has a real "feel good" experience during her live shows....
