CHICKEN! FIGHT LIKE A ROBOT!

About Me

"Ninety percent of all deaths are suicides... Persons who lack curiosity about life, who find minimal joy in existence, are all too willing, subconsciously, to cooperate with and attract -disease, accidents, and violence."
I'm actually a pretty easy going guy... Right now my favorite past time is just sitting on my porch, enjoying a few Coronas and a first class cigar as the sun sets.
I say a little bit o' everything never hurt no one, so long as you don't overdo it: chartreuse, absinthe , pastis, anis, jager, that sort of thing! I prefer Belgian or Abbey beers, but don't be surprised if you catch me with a can of Pabst either!
"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally you see things as they really are, and that is the most horrible thing in the world."

I like old cars, drop tops, and lots o' chrome. All happiness comes from excess, remember?
Used to ride a motorcycle too until it damn near killed me...
I guess at one point you could say I was somewhat obsessed with Gretsch guitars -I've probably got too many! I'm glad that I'm finally starting to have some free time for them now. Left to Right: Takamine acoustic, '02 Anniversary, '64 Clipper, '03 Nashville 6120, '63 Tennessean, Epiphone FlameKat, Fender SuperStrat, Gibson Les Paul Special, Cort Beatle Bass, and a homemade baby blue strat with a bigsby, locking tuners, and P-90 + 2 Danelectro Lipstick pickups!
I like films -both watching and being a part of making them. I'd like to "act" more but, unfortunately, there is very little calling for people like me!

My Interests

"...I am large...I contain multitudes..."

I like to read & write, listen to music, take bike rides with Sharon, and smoke the occasional stogie.

I'm fascinated by herbs and herbal liqueurs, especially odd-ball or obscure stuff like absinthe. Thanks to my grandfather (R.I.P.), I have a VERY sizable collection of vintage beer cans.

I like BBQ's, old cars, old Gibson, Gretsch, and Epi guitars, and girls with just the right number of tattoos.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

RHH, Social Distortion, AC/DC, My uncle Chuck, MOJO NIXON, Izzy Stradlin', Chris Isaak, blah, blah, blah

Of course, 80's music rules. I also like to listen to lounge music but only when cruising around town.

Sharon tries real hard to get me to listen to good music...

LOOK! I'M FAMOUS!

Movies:

All my wisdom and wittiness derives from the following: Buckaroo Banzai, UHF, Killer Klowns, Evil Dead Series, John Carpenter shit, movies with boats and/or pirates, blah, blah, blah...

Television:

It is FAR too easy to get sucked into a 7 hour Law & Order marathon when you KNOW you should be in bed...

"When Animals Attack" - because I think it should happen more often...

Books:

I'm actually a "short story" kind of guy so a lot of my favorite "books" are collections: I enjoy Hemmingway (Sun Also Rises as well as his shorter works), Fitzgerald (again, the short stories, mostly), Kurt Vonnegut Jr. (too many to list! I have them ALL), and just about anything else that falls into the 1900-1960 time period, the high water mark for all things American.

Heroes:

These guys...

Andy, Kevin, Kyle, Me, Carmen, Chris, Harry, & Dave at Chris' wedding reception!

"Home is where you wear your hat"

Bored at work and neglecting my duties, I spent an hour zipping through random entries in Wikipedia, landing on one that referenced a page where you can look for information about your ...

"Wherever you go, there you are..."

We went to the shore house this past weekend (and a half) and, despite the bugs, heat, and rain, we had a great time just getting away from it all. Can't wait to go camping and I'm looking forward to ...
