In early 2003 the first incarnation of the Louisville based band Mistaken was formed. The experiment was a great success in the eyes of the core members. It allowed them to feed off of a new energy and explore many aspects of the creation of music. Unfortunately the project was short lived when the band was forced into a very distant seperation. Trying to overcome the barriers of distance they tried on multiple occasions to collaborate on new works. Eventually the frustration was too much and Mistaken had been seen as a lost cause.
After three very long years, vocalist Jon Martin returned back to Louisville, KY and started to reinvent himself as a musician. Taking Mistaken under his wing, things quickly became a solo effort. The full length album "Feeling The Change" made it's debut on December 20th 2007.
Following the release of "Feeling The Change", things slowed downed a bit. Not only did the resting period allow for a lot of experimenting, but gave room to evolve the sound of Mistaken. A few "single" songs were released periodically during this break that reflected the process.
Eleven months after the release of "Feeling The Change", the gears are turning once again. Production has started on a follow-up to the debut album. The first single "Paradigm" is just a brief glimpse of the upcoming album "Come to Light".Stay tuned for more info soon.....
