You Just Don't Even Know ...

About Me

I'm a real, down to earth girl who is pretty reserved and serious but knows how to let her hair down when she wants to. I tell people how it is, which some people appreciate and other people hate me for. I figure that I'd rather be honest than fake. I hate fake people and I hate liars. Lately, I've been quite the homebody but when I'm not being BORING, I'm usually down for whatever's going on.

Here are Some Highlights from our July 2006 Trip to Milwaukee:

I am interested in all kinds of stuff. Photos, scrapbooking, drinking, partying, sleeping, relaxing, watching ALL kinds of movies, going to the movies, cooking, eating out, music, playing cards, hanging out with my friends, making new friends, reading good books, playing video games, and watching tv. Some of my favorite things in the world are ice cream, roller coasters, haunted houses, and the cider mill. I've learned over the past year that when someone brings s'mores to a bonfire that I have WAY more than my fair share ... and that they also taste good if you want to add a pretzel! I suck at ALL sports but I'm a great cheerleader. I love puzzles ... if there is one laying around the house, I will work on it as much as humanly possible until it is finished. I love my family ... we're very small so we try to stick together. I would like to travel more. I LOVE lazy mornings in bed, but only if the sheet is tucked in at the bottom of the bed because I can't relax when all the blankets and sheets get all crazy ... it drives me insane. Oh yeah ... and the buttons on the duvet cover belong at the BOTTOM! I also have trouble sleeping without a fan on unless I'm REALLY tired ... even then, I usually wake up in the middle of the night and have to turn it on. I'm not sure how I feel about camping, but I'm about to find out this summer. I would love to learn how to play the piano someday. My latest thing is that I've been learning how to play chess. I'm making progress and have actually won twice. Jim denies it to the end, but I know he let me win. He's a punk like that. I'm also learning dominoes and I have a slightly better record at that than I do chess, but I have a lot to learn there too. I used to think I was halfway decent at Texas Hold-'Em until Jim (who else, right?) schooled me hardcore ... twice. So I'm planning on learning more about that too. One day I'll take his money though ... my luck, it will be the day we play for a dollar or something small. One of my favorite things in the world is going out for breakfast. In my pajamas. I need to do that again real soon. I also like decorating and taking on projects. I just moved into my condo at the beginning of April and have a HUGE list of new projects that I'd like to take on as soon as I find some time and money to do get started. Now if I could just find a way to squeeze in a nap, I'll be all set!

Oh yeah ... I forgot one thing ... my FAVORITE place!!!

Where I am a proud member of the Black Section ... the loudest two person section EVER!!!

Music:

My current favorites are My Chemical Romance, Finch, and Coldplay, but I like all kinds of stuff. My CD collection includes Dave Matthews Band, Barenaked Ladies, Linkin Park, Blink 182, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Prodigy, Snopp Dogg, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Movies:

I love all kinds of movies. Some of the movies in my collection are Old School, Casino, SAW, Collateral, The Score, Matchstick Men, Bruce Almighty, and Office Space. My favorites are movies that make me laugh and ones where you can't guess the endings.

Television:

I don't really follow any tv shows because every time I get hooked on one, I end up being busy with life and never get to watch it ...

Books:

The last books that I read for fun are the Harry Potter Books and the DaVinci Code. I actually have a few others on my list that I would eventually like to read, but if anyone has read something great that they'd like to share I'm up for recommendations!

Heroes:

My true heroes are the people I can look up to in my life ... its the people who have qualities that I wish I had. Sometimes its ambition, sometimes its smarts, sometimes patience. I try to surround myself with these people so that I can learn from them and become more like how I want to be. I'm fortunate to have quite a few heroes, such as my family (and that includes the extended adopted members!) as well as my boyfriend Jim and his family. Each of these people has something about them that I really admire and I truly cherish time spent with them and the memories that we're able to make when we're together.
