About Me

My Interests

music and music related stuff, films, comedy, cooking good food, eating said food, sitting in pubs and drinking nice wine, dancing, rubbish trivia, coffee, reading good books & any magazine I can lay my hands on, playing netball, discovering the cheapest and funnest things to do in London town, clinging desperately to my foreign roots, partying it all out at the weekend, writing and trying to maintain some creativity

Music:

Lots of stuff, including but not limited to - Green Day, The Chemical Brothers, Jane's Addiction, Incubus, Duran Duran, Goldfrapp, Jimmy Eat World, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Head Automatica, Kasabian, Prince, The Arcade Fire, Prodigy, Sikth, The Bronx, Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, The Hives, No Doubt (and Gwen obviously), Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Sublime, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the kooks, Kaiser Chiefs, Most things Dave Grohl based, 80s rubbish, '90s hip hop, movie soundtracks..... Basically it includes a lot of stuff which isn't female singer/songwriters, who, as a group make me want to stab myself in the eye.

Movies:

The Fifth Element, Wayne's World, The Breakfast Club, Garden State, Donnie Darko, Pretty in Pink, Mallrats, clerks, chasing amy, Shaun of The Dead, Clueless, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, the usual suspects, star wars (all of 'em), Zoolander, American Beauty, Closer, The Wedding Singer, Ferris Bueller's Day off, The Big Lebwoski, Napoleon Dynamite, Anchor Man, Romeo and Juliet, Heathers, Edward Scissorhands, The Life Aquatic.

Television:

Scrubs, CSI, The O.C, The Mighty Boosh, Peep Show, Six Feet Under, The Green Wing

Books:

As a general rule I like John O'Farrell, Chuck Palanuik, Bret Easton Ellis, Nick Hornby, and have recently loved the Time Travellers Wife and We need to talk about Kevin which both left me quite stunned. I should have loved Lolita but I hated it.

Heroes:

Lynette Scavo from desperate hosuewives.
