Lessons Learned
"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you."
Lessons Learned is our second feature-length film, shot last year, and is coming along steadily in the editing room. Lamont Bryant stars as Justin Bishop, a prescription-laced journalist at the City Bulletin who quickly slips a reality notch when he becomes the prime suspect in a multiple murder investigation. Unfortunately, Justin isn't sure himself whether or not he's a murderer.
The movie was shot on location in Baltimore City in the summer/fall of 2007 and is slated for a premiere in early 2009. This project was a great deal more ambitious than our first flick, the gay teen axe-horror Grace Haven, however just as before we had a really fantastic crew and cast to help bring everything together. We feel really good about the quality and content our sophomore feature and will definitely keep posting updates about any release information as the details concrete.
Grace Haven
"a relaxing weekend getaway. if they can get away alive."
In our first feature, Grace Haven, we tried to take the atmosphere of the old 70's/80's, killer in the woods, sleepy camp vacation films and throw a gay spin on them. What resulted was a group of gay, twenty-something friends visiting a woodland bed and breakfast during the return of its former inhabitant, Matthias Raynor, who had now become an axe-weilding murderer. So it is that one by one the unsuspecting dudes are picked off until hero Joey Andrews (actor Mike Fulvio) is forced to engage in a one-on-one showdown with his pursuer.
The movie premiered at the Creative Alliance to a pretty enthusiastic audience. We recieved a fair deal of press in Baltimore's local publications and periodicals and overall was a damn good time.
