This is the MySpace page of Producer/Engineer Mark McCabe.
Mark McCabe hails from Dublin Ireland and has been professionaly involved in music one way or another for the last 16years. At the tender age of twelve Mark was hiring disco equipment to entertain his friends at parties. By the time he was fourteen, he was working in music equipment shops selling his chosen instruments, drums and keys.
Wanting more of the live music scene he went to work for Dublin Production Company "Roadshow" where he mixed sound for some of Irelands/Europe's top bands and lit everything from fashion shows to conferences.
Whilst still keeping a hand on sound/lighting engineering, Mark got involved with Dublin pirate radio station "Pulse FM" where he was Station Manager as well as presenting the Drive Time Show five days a week. Pulse was hugely successful claiming a massive 36% of the lucrative under 25yrs market with Mark being the third most influential DJ in the Dublin area (Independent Research 1998)
A quick break from the pirate scene saw Mark working for most of Dublin's local radio stations as a field engineer, maintaining equipment and servicing transmission and on-air facilities.
In 1998, Mark was snapped up by the Irish National Broadcaster RTE 2FM where he is responsible for the two main stations (RTE Radio 1 and 2FM) audio output configuration and recently programmed and over saw the installation of two Orban 8400 Optimods.
Currently he is part responsible for the setup of the RTE DAB network due to launch in March 07.
Mark also produced the hugely succesful syndicate radio show, Thirst for Heineken Music, which aired on local radio stations around Ireland at weekends.
These days, Marks studio ADDA productions is what keeps him busiest most, recording and mixing for up and coming and already established acts and artists.
And oh yea, did we mention Mark had the biggest selling single this decade spending ten weeks at number 1 !
