This 25 year old is originally from Compton, CA but proudly represents Denver as this is where the majority of her life was spent. She has become a well known name locally for her spoken word performances at The Kasbah, The Mocha Lounge, The Palm Tree, The Mercury Cafe and Café Nuba. She currently holds a spot in a nationally known group of spoken word artists, “The Deadly Pensâ€. Her writing and musical talent has made her one of the most sought after female lyricists in Denver’s Underground Hip Hop scene.She has appeared on numerous compilations and can often be seen headlining in shows with her older brother, Midas- also a Jagadan Records recording artist. With comparisons to artists like, Missy Elliot, Marvelless, Eve, Da Brat, Jill Scott, and Floetry, Rukus is about as close as you’ll get to a total package.
