I was born on New Year's Eve in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The youngest of my mother's children, I grew up in Queens, New York. Hip Hop has always been a huge influence in my life. I grew up listening to Mister Magic Mix Tapes and everything else my older brother could get a hold of. I started writing songs when I was 6 years old and always knew from way back then that I would pursue a career in music.My family didn't have much in the way of money. From an early age I developed a hustler's mentality. I sold everything I could in school: candy, lunch tickets, Gym uniforms, etc.I spent most of my time writing rhymes and freestyling in and out of school. From sessions outside banging beats on a mailbox, to studio sessions laying down my first demos, the talent was undeniable.In 1993, I had formed my first group called Urban Intelligence where I was both an artist and the groups' producer. It was a short-lived group that later in 1994 became Defunkt Decibelz (Dead Noiz). The beats were edgier and more fine-tuned and the lyrics were abstract with a hard underground battle influence.After recording a good portion of the Defunkt Decibelz EP, I was sliced in the face on the back of a city bus in Queens. with over 350 stitches, and all the muscle in my jaw completely severed, recording the rest of the album was out of the question. I moved to California to get away from the drama of the big city for a while. I kept writing new material as a solo artist.With over an albums worth of new material, I went back to the east coast to start recording under the name "Anonimus". I did shows at some of Miami's hottest Concert Halls, Universities and Clubs. Miami is a tough place to break out of, however, if you are not doing dance music or crunk, so I left Florida for NY, to get my roots back.After strife and drama crept its way back into my life I returned to Cali, where I am currently working on my new album "The Sky Is Falling" under the name REDRAGON (da Tyrant) with the label Tyrantz & Associates Music Group. This album truly is an extension of me in that my two passions, rhyming and playing guitar are joined into a fusion that is still undeniably Hip-Hop. There are people out there performing vocals while playing the guitar, but picture the lyrical prowess of Big-Pun over sick guitar riffs and you have yourself a classic Hip-Hop album...Puerto Ricans stand up!! When the Sky Falls, the boundaries are limitless...
