About Me
.. width="425" height="350" ..I am 1/4 of the crew known as Collective Efforts. I make beats, write rhymes and do a grip of design work for the team. Lately, we've been putting the finishing touches on our third release, Medicine. To me, it is the best representation of what our crew is capable of doing. We moved into a house together to finish what we started... making the best hip hop album we could make at the time. The album has guest appearances from some of our closest friends, including: H20, Hunter Brown and David Phipps of STS9, Gripplyaz, Mud, Wyz of Psyche Origami, Trip of Rising Sons, Mr. Mind, Ruthie Smith, DJ Mafioso, and more. I contributed a couple beats to the album with a majority of it being done by Ben Hameen.During the day, you will find me getting my graphics on with my comrades at One3. I'd like to go back to school to get my learn on, but time isn't permitting that at the moment. Maybe one day, but for now, gotta keep hustling for the sake of Collective Efforts.A lot of people don't understand what goes into putting out a project. Aside from the making beats, writing verses, hooks, adding instruments, mixing, and mastering, there is an entirely different side of the hustle that the people overlook. You have to be on the grind on the daily, talking to folks and letting them know what you have going on. It's much more than telling a few friends and putting out flyers. It involves making people feel like a part of the movement. People want to feel like they are on your team, making it happen for the cause. You have to get your look right, which involves making posters, flyers, stickers, promo discs, websites, web ads, magazine ads, business cards, emailers, shirts, hats... and the list goes on. It isn't easy. Aside from all of that, you have to keep up with the folks around you, to make sure that everyone is on the same page with high hopes and aspirations. Without the music, there is nothing. But without the other side, there is nothing to inform people about the music. With all that done, you have to live life to the fullest. We are only here for a fraction of time, so it is important to make it all count. Friends and family help keep all of that together. So in the mean time... check out some music, hope you like it.If you get a minute, stop by our website to check the updates, free music downloads and more. Be sure to stop bywww.myspace.com/collectiveefforts for links to the rest of the crew.Medicine will be in stores this spring... pick it up.www.collectiveeffortsmusic.com
