I'm mistermike, and I'm a singer/songwriter/worship leader from central Louisiana. I just love Jesus and the internet has given me the platform I need to express the love of God and the music God has given me to all who will listen. When I first embarked on this endeavor I asked the Lord to share these musical gifts from heaven to people all over the world. To date, mistermike's original music has been heard in over 116 countries around the world! And still counting! Praise the Lord!
People sometimes ask me why I put my music "out there" in such worldly places as SoundClick and MySpace. Well, the answer is simple. Jesus ate and associated with sinners. Why? Because they're the one's who needed to hear the Good News! The same is true with me. Don't get me wrong. I hope and pray that my music gets a listen and favorable responses from Christians, too! But I also want the message of the Good News to be heard by those that need it most - the lost.
I've been a musician since the age of 14, cutting my musical teeth playing rock in garage bands. My early influences include The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Moody Blues, Bob Seger, Cream, Clapton, Rory Gallagher, and the list goes on and on.
Today, my influences are primarily the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. I currently listen to cutting edge Christian artists such as David Crowder, Charlie Hall, Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman, Todd Agnew, Robby Seay, and Jeremy Camp. Almost anything Vineyard will fit my bill as well. When I run I like to listen to the likes of John Waller, Jared Anderson, Brenton Brown, and PlanetShakers. As I said, it's all about Jesus and spreading the seeds of Grace. mistermike music is best described as the intersection where Jesus meets southern rock, or Rockin' With The Rock. Jesus told me to take it all around the world and I asked Him to bless that endeavor. The result is the message of Jesus in mistermike music being taken around the world to over 116 countries.
