Jonas Schmid aka Dirty Cat is the first Filter artist to deal with the sensitive matter of 4-4 beats. He has a serious thing with all things electro, producing music with an entrancing effect. His songs are inspired by the sound of the eighties, but his studio approach is modern and keeps the club DJ in its focus. Dirty Cat is producing melodic electronic music with strong basslines influenced by the music of Fischerspooner, Alter Ego and Vive La Fete. His songs arise from momentary feelings, moods and emotions – suspense and eruption are an essential part of his music. In April 2006 the song ’Am I dead’ was invited to the final of M4Music Demotape Clinic in the Moods in Zurich, and in spring 2007 he produced two remixes for the DragChrist single ’Fur Coat No Knickers’. Since summer 2007 Dirtycat’s infectious vibe started to impact global dancefloors. He released the Claws EP in October 2007.
