Background:

Born in glorious WHITTIER, CA:
I've been passionate about music FOR-EV-ER and have been singing just as long. I love singing almost all styles of music and especially enjoy adding solid harmonies when needed. I've been performing solo and in groups since I was 5 and have recently begun writing again. Two of my original songs can be heard on this page.

In addition to being the mother and sole provider for my 10 y/o daughter, Brandyn, I had the privilege of working in the music department of a church in Fullerton for the past 5 years. As a result, I've been immersed in music, arranging, charts, harmonies, worship leading, music editing, choir and band directing, event coordinating, etc. It's been a great place to put the technical part of my music education to work and fine-tune my musicianship vocally and otherwise. I stopped working at the church in September to pursue music full-time. I play intermediate piano and guitar, can read music, and can sing and write many styles of music including Country, Gospel, R&B, Pop, Rock, Christian, Blues, Jazz, Folk and whatever they're calling Alternative nowadays (those whippersnappers!).

Singing and writing brings me incredible joy and I'm grateful for the privilege of doing something so fun and rewarding for a living. Aside from being with my daughter, my favorite thing to do in the world is take a song that someone has written and sing it for them, adding arrangements and harmonies (if they want them) to give it a life they might not have considered. It's equally satisfying to hear a song that I've written and hear how it has impacted others. Even if it never makes me rich financially, I feel rich because I'm doing what I love.

Depending on which way the wind is blowing on any given day, the favorites in the forefront of my mind will be different. Some I love cause of how they make me feel, some because of how fun or challenging they are to sing, some because the instrumentation is solid, etc. So, for those who care, here's a partial listing of some of my favorites in random order. All of these could be considered influences in one way or another.Artist/Favorite Song(s)

Sounds Like: I sound most like . . . Pamela Pruett!

My vocals and style are often compared to Martina McBride and Aretha Franklin, but I have a versitile style that I hope matches the need at the time. However, I have no delusions of grandeur. Aretha Franklin is incomperable!
