Knowital was spawned in Santa Fe, NM sometime around the end of 1994. They were a just a bunch of punks who thought it might be cool to make a bunch of noise and piss everyone off. They spent their first couple years playing out of a garage. Knowital quickly established themselves as one of the area's most progressive and innovative hardcore/melodic punk bands. Their influences included Jawbreaker, Neurosis, Crimpshrine, Garden Variety, Hot Water Music, Logical Nonsense (to name a few), and they were constantly pushing to more and more progressive levels of hardcore/punk.
Then the band broke up.
