My Grandma who has fighted everything bad that came her way till she desided to go with god. I Love You And Miss You. I Know You Will Be Watching Over Us.Maryjane (Wright) Kovacs Maryjane (Wright) Kovacs, 69, of Sidney,Ohio , died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at 1:45 p.m. at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.She was born Jan. 12, 1939, to the late Donald and Bessie (Briody) Wright, in Evansville, Ind. Maryjane married Alex S. Kovacs Jr. in 1994. He died on June 11, 2000.Maryjane is survived by four children, Edgar (Tana) Jones of Wapakoneta, R. Erick (Alicia) Jones of Cleveland, Jon (Kathy) Parker-Jones of Hilliard, and James (Deb) Jones of Houston; one sister, Donna Jean Wright of Sidney; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her children's father, Roy Jones of Dayton. She was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Bates.Maryjane was a member of the Red Hat Society and was Miss Queen Diva. She was also active at the Sidney Senior Center and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sidney.Maryjane was a retired nurse. She was head nurse at St. Louis State Hospital, St. Louis, Mo., from 1960 to 1961; head nurse at Evansville State Hospital, Evansville, Ind., from 1962 to 1963; evening supervisor/in-service education instructor at Boehne County Hospital, Evansville, Ind., from 1965 to 1968; taught English as a second language at the Language Center in Taipei, Taiwan, from 1972 to 1974; nursing supervisor at Eastway Community Health Center, Dayton, from 1977 to 1981; program director at Echling Valley, Dayton; and was administrator at Echoing Lake, Lorain. Maryjane loved music, singing and playing piano. She was a member of several church choirs.Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, with the Rev. Melvin Younger officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.Friends may call Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shelby County Humane Society, 114 N. Ohio Ave., Sidney, OH 45365 or American Heart Association, 120 S. Center St., P.O. Box 59, Springfield, OH 45501 in Maryjane's memory.
