Granite was born and raised in Northwest, Washington DC. In one of the roughest areas of the city at the time. Through tough times, him, his father and his sister encountered tribulations daily. Granite, real name Dre, found an Oasis from this struggle in his early youth when he met LX in 2nd Grade. They both would bang on the piano until pleased with the product. Granite started off doing "weird al" type satires of already made songs with LX and grew to love music. In early high school he cliqed up with one of the sickest alliances in the city: "Warpath". A cool and down to earth guy but surely one not to cross. Granite walks in search of his meaning through his upcoming solo album : "6:4 On top of the world" in which he gets personal with the listener explaining issues with his life he never spoke of in person...even with his closest friends. With his defined and catchy style and the production of his best friend LX. This will be an album worth listening to
