It's been a long time......I need to update my myspace page, as it is proper BUDGET! ("At least update the BPP anniversary plug - it's been 2years!?!")Until I do, this is a bit about the project I was running with my cousin until mid-2007 (below). I'm a member of 'Lyrical Matter', a small voluntary youth project based in Oxford(UK) which focuses on lyrical content and encourages outspoken lyricism.We work with lyricists who are between 13-25 years old, and are from deprived areas/communities of Oxford, supporting and encouraging them to develop their musical and performance skills.We encourage artists to:
*perform live,
*work on collaborative tracks/projects,
*highlight issues they feel strongly about,
*challenge prejudice through their music.We're up for working with any artists, from any musical style, who respect these points and can relate to young people.
