Dan McIlvaine is a well socialized bearchild found in the pine forests of western Pensacola. He was raised by Filipino immigrants working in the mess hall at NAS Pensacola. Unsatisfied by the peasant (read service worker) lifestyle, he reached for greater things. Setting forth in a salvaged cuban car tire raft, he was swept up the eastern seaboard by the Gulf Stream current and landed at Duke on the Severn. He scored a walk-on role in the hit feature film "Annapolis" and somehow managed to graduate from the Naval Academy without ever applying. Turning his back on the seafaring heritage of his Filipino foster parents, he chose to move into the great blue yonder. He returned to the fabled bowers of the Florida panhandle and began a less than rigorous study regimen to learn how to properly sit in the back of an airplane. Where will the future take him? Only Marcus Garvey knows, and he's not talking.
