I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a native Californian, raised near the coast in the O.C., Fountain Valley/Huntington Beach to be exact. I lived breifly in Sacramento before moving to Corvallis, Oregon. I'm very laid-back, open minded, and not easily offended. I am easy to talk to and I generally get along with just about everyone. I believe very deeply that our relationships define us, and I would do almost anything for a friend. I love to laugh, travel, go camping, write, and spend time with friends. I enjoy good beer, good movies, good music and good conversation, but there is something to be said for an evening of cheap beer, bad movies, loud music, and drunken epiphanies.....for those are the moments you share with your GOOD FRIENDS.I am a very honest person for the most part, the only time I lie is to save someone from unecessary hurt or critcism or cover someone else's ass, not usually my own, but I am not perfect. I've never deliberately stolen anything and I'll be the first one to turn in your missing wallet full of money...I hope not the only one though. I can accept responsibility for my failures and shortcomings, therefore if I say something and it sounds like an excuse, I expect you to give me the benefit of the doubt and accept the possibility that you may have not ever met anyone like me before, and I will do the same for you. I have made it habbit in my life not to judge people. You can NEVER know a man until you have walked a mile in "his" shoes. I choose most often to see the potential and the good in people that they themselves don't even know is there, and unfortunately that has left me disappointed and disillusioned many-a-time, but occasionally pleasantly inspired enough to keep on living that way. However that is why I choose not put my expectations upon others...I make only simple and fair requests. However if you treat me with malice or disregard, I will tire of you quickly. Some may argue this approach to life by saying that I'm setting myself up for failure and disaster, or that people only deliver what you demand of them, and there might be something to that, but I don't want to live that way, it's too emotionally demanding. Loving unconditionally is hard, but a lot less disappointing. I want my experiences to be genuine. I don't want anyone to pretend to be someone or something they're not, or to be the person they think I want them to be. I want to know each and every person for the person that they choose to be of their own free will. That is where you will find real character....in someone's soul. But you must look with your eyes open, and realize that even in the most casual of relationships you will find strength and rememberance in and of your own soul. Though many of my life experiences have led me to believe that most souls are tainted by this world and people are not as righteous as they once were...I refuse to give up hope.

I'd like to meet:

REAL people. Someone, anyone, who is genuinely nice, honest, outgoing, fun or just funny. I'm open to meeting all types of people, but people who will bring something to my life.....even if it's just a smile. I am new to Corvallis, Oregon and am interested in forging some friendships, etc. I'm not trying to be too serious right now, just kinda looking to meet new people, have fun and get acquainted with the town. It is my mission in this life to find somone...more than one someone...who lives thier life with good intentions regardless of the circumstances that this life has dealt them. Ideally, I would like to meet someone with the eyes of an artist, the soul of a poet and the tongue of a comedian....or at least a really good kisser. Now that may sound like I have great expectations, but you would be surprised at the places and the people in which I can find true beauty. And trust me, I do not necessarily expect to find that person, in fact, if I did it would surely be a surprise. I am certainly more likely to see a snipe or be struck by lightening. But...I would most certainly be dead if I didn't have my dreams to hold onto. Reality is not quite finished beating this one out of me.....yet!
