About Me

I love to eat with chopsticks. I love my boyfriend, Tommy. I've moved to several states in the last two years. I work with sick old people, and the occasional young person. I love my job. My second toe is longer than my big toe. I miss my family and friends. I hate pickles. I've never been married or knocked up. I love animals and I have a 7 year old dachshund named Happy who is the horniest dog you've ever seen. :) I can be a smartass from time to time. I don't have perfect vision. I can cross just one eye. I love to take pictures. I want to go to Europe soon. My life goal is to see as much of the world as possible before I croak. If I don't visit Antarctica, I'll be ok with that.

The Softer Side...

Does anyone my age ever shop at Sears for clothing? Ever since I was a teenager, I have made fun of Sears and all of it's grandma-style fashion, but if I looked really hard, I was usually able to find...

5 weeks, 3 days...

For some odd reason, I am wide awake on this Tuesday night at 10:43 P.M, so I said to myself, "How about a blog, Jess?", then I replied, "Self, what a splendid idea...it's been a while!" So here it is...

Last night I went to my first Broadway musical...ever! I felt like I could not leave Chicago without going to the theatre. Of course we did go to the Chicago Theatre to see "Family Guy Live"...

It's that time again. Time to move to yet another place. Woo hoo. I have to admit that I am getting tired of moving so often. It's time to quit. Anyway, yesterday was the last day of my contract to wo...

The Windy City

So I have been in Chicago now for 6 weeks and 1 day. It did not take me very long to realize that I am not a big-city girl, and this is not the place for me to become a permanent resident (no offense,...

My time in Colorado is finished. I am very sad to be moving, but I know I will be back to visit soon. I am hoping to be out of the apartment and on the road by Tuesday, but I am doubtful that plan wil...

Colorful Colorado

As you are driving down the freeway and enter this state, you will notice a sign that says, "Welcome to Colorful Colorado". I remember the first time I saw that sign...it was nearly 7 months ago, and ...

Blue Skies Shining on Me

I start my new job tomorrow! Yay! I found the impossible: a full time, temporary OT position at a long term acute care hospital. Plus, I have home health patients. I knew I could do it! Then it's bye-...
