Historical Romance novels, none of the crap ones either where the heroine falls in love with the guy that raped her. James Patterson, Jude Deveraux, Cokie Roberts, Ya Ya Sisterhood, Chronicles of Narnia (all of them), Harry Potter (all of them). C.S. Lewis, David McCullough, Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn, some John Steinbeck, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Emily Bronte, Flannery O'Connor, The Bad Cat Book, Robert Jordan, remember Amelia Bedelia?
