The High Caliber

About Me

"We`ve been following The High Caliber`s work for a bit here and it`s cool to see this EP make it out as it`s not too often a band mixes it up with a lot of different influences and makes it work. Lead off track, "Can`t Resist" sounds like the long-lost, much beloved The Revelers with it`s post-Who vague janglings. "Pleasure To Fall" is the best Jesus And The Mary Chain pop single, *ever*, but with a bit of earthy Plimsouls grounding. The rest of the EP stays in the same school playground, making this easily classified as a band to watch and one we can Extremely Highly Recommend. There`s an army of buzzing, candy-sweet guitars that consistently glue themselves on top of some very sharp vocal melodies. It`s all done and over with in 17 minutes so bring on some more!" My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.thehighcaliber.com/ being updated currently
Band Members: Live, Tommy Salmon and Reid Howland play guitars and sing. Ian Werden plays the drums. Nathan Rudolf plays bass. As for recordings, anything goes.
Influences: Velvet Underground, GBV, Teenage Fanclub, Beatles, Love, Jesus and Mary Chain, Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Who, Big Star, Replacements.
You Are... The Jesus And Mary Chain. You are moody and unpredictable. You are the
underdog who refuses to sink to the bottom. You
have more talent than you ever really let
anyone know. It almost seems as if you try and
sabotage whatever good things may be going on
in your life, and you often feel like you may
be giving people a bit too much of yourself.
Being in the spotlight is something you find to
be rather uncomfortable though you secretly
yearn to be loved by everyone. You lean toward
things of a darker nature and are prone to self
destructive tendencies. You struggle with
happiness for the simple fact that you seem to
be in love with your misery. You are a realist.
