We started messing with turntables around 94/95 when a friend who went by the name X2X & Uplift International showed us his deep collection of dub/roots and heavy hip hop. dT's been into hip hop since way back in '86 when just 11 yrs old and has a deep love for the music and culture. So it was inevitable that he'd want to get his own collection up and running as soon as he had funds. Furio had always been down since '92 and used to just hangout. From 95 dT started collecting properly and the hip hop collection kept on growing. It wasn't long before the itching of fingers started and first equipment was bought.At that point we were both checking some of the battle videos that were coming out of the USA and it was an inspiration that motivated the move to self teaching the art of tablism.We were at one point helping out with the Headfunk night at the pre-warm up thanks to a hook up from Treva Whateva and this led to Fred Da Don inviting Treva and the TS crew to play regularly at the Caphiche night which moved through various venues.The DMC was always gonna be a calling point and in '98 after just 6 months of proper heavy practise both dT & Furio went through the eliminations to the Regional Final. Furio has since continued to work the battle scene and has played at regular Regional Finals; maybe this year is the big one.After hooking up with the Devo crew to supply the cuts and weird table stuff with the live Devo band, dT & Furio have played with the likes of Little Green, Roots Manuva and are likely to continue as Norvun Devolution brings forth a change in musical policy and generally spreads positive vibes with heavyweight beats. 'Devo' is all about breaking down the negativity and giving the people a good feel night where the whole club is a warm friendly atmosphere without all the gangster leanings associated with hip hop.With the aid of the Boss RC20XL Loopstation and 3 turntables we aim to produce music and routines on the fly and also layer surreal sounds and cuts with the Devo band.
