About Me

Originally from Up North, having lived in the Sheffield area, I moved to London 2 year ago to pursue a career in music, but currently working in the TV industry. Quite what the next step is I'm unsure, but the business side of music looks very appealing to me in terms of PR, A&R, managerial and journalism.
Journalistically, I have been writing for around 6 years, on and off, freelancing for different internet sites and printed publication. Most recently I have been writing like a demon for UKMusic.com, and interviews will be going up on UKHH.com sharpish.
'Specialist subject', for want of a better word, is UKHH reviews and interviews. This is on the side of my full time job but gets far greater attention due to my love for music. Having very eclectic musical tastes and a very opinionated nature to go with it, I have also been known to touch other genres but my lack of indepth knowledge in other areas is a hindrance to this sort of deviation.
I do this because I really do enjoy it. I am for the most part unpaid, and I am almost always on the look out for more and more work, networking and goodies. I will always discuss things and try to keep you up to date, often blaming others. I won't bite, and will ALWAYS reply to requests. I'm also very aware that I have said I way too many times this paragraph and need to find another way to say I.
Any artists/promoters/street teams looking to get features, interviews or reviews done, just drop me a line. I never turn down 'work', but due to increased demand on my time I prioritise like a bitch in terms of closest release date getting higher priority.
Outside of the music and professional realm...I swear like a fucking trooper and can be found regularly peppering everyday conversation with Northern charmed expletives, cuntish stylee.
I'm a big fucking geek, if it's electric and has lights, I'll love it. Big in to computers, gaming, phones, gadgets, and anything that should rightfully get me beaten up in the proverbial school yard.
I NEED to get my ass back into the gym, I'm developing man boobs that make my girl jealous. It's all paid for though, and I've enjoyed letting my waistline extend.
Currently playing football 3 times a week to try and combat the slothfulness. Love my sports big time, played almost anything whilst growing up, and still love watching ANYTHING active, be it gymnastics, cricket, NFL, NBA, or football. Up the Owls, we'll be in the Premiership in 2008, just you wait...
