Who: I am Josiejo - just a girl who sings her heart out
What: well I am a singer songstress... I produce, write and sing everything on this site in my humble stu- stu-studio! I am influenced by everything from to Beck to Bartok, from Kings of Convenience to the Kaiser Chiefs, from Joni Mitchell to Jamie Liddell from Miles Davies to Milo- however there is certainly some country vibe going on (think my dads love for Mr John Denver definitely has something to with that!)
why: well I have tried pretty much everything else... kicked out of music college, turfed out of a few jobs... broke my elbow recently yet I still keep coming back to this as it is what I love most in the world and I reckin it what I’m here to do!
Where: brought up all over, but mainly by the southern shores - then went to the big smoke to follow that dream... but dreams can get squashed so I followed my calling to the mountains... am now out in Sydney, Australia, writing songs and playing in the sun!
When: I always sang as a girl - mainly when I was scared up a mountain or in a boat. I picked up a guitar because my brother did at 12. Put it down again at 16 and started training to be a classical singer...made it to music college but didn't get on with 'musicians' so ran away travelling Came back and did a degree in sound engineering up norf... refused to sing for a bit... but love it now!
