Since I was 15 I’ve wanted to be a singer, actress. I started having singing lessons and attending a weekend drama school. I have also been dancing since the age of five.
In late 2001 I got into a boy/girl and started working with a producer called Steve Levine (Credits: The Honeyz, Alsou and a few other 90's bands). We we're signed by Telstar records who then approached Christopher Pilkington and Malcolm Gerrie at Endemol/Initial Kids. (Chris produced the series for S Club 7. Malcolm Gerrie was Executive producer). After a few meetings they decided to write a show based on us working in a record company. The show was called 'Perfect'. The idea was then taken to Nickelodeon UK who loved it and suggested we film a pilot.
Along with the television show we were also back in the studio working with a producer called Mike Peden where we were recording the theme tune to the show. We were also writing with help from Judie Tzuke. Other tracks written by Gary Bromham and Nina Madhoo (Automatic High – S Club 8).
We filmed the pilot over a course of 5 days in South London then when it was finished it was taken back to Nickelodeon.
All this was a real high for about a year but it was now that Nickelodeon said they needed ITV on board (who didn't want it) and whilst this was happening, Telstar went into Liquidation!
The next project was a four piece band, 2 girls, 2 guys. Signed by Martin Heath to his label, Lizard King Records (home of ‘The Killers’). He was wanting a four piece pop band, Mamas and Papas Style.
In this project we worked with Graham Gouldman (10cc), Mike Stevens (producer) and James Bourne (Busted/Son of Dork).
With this project also came an idea of a TV series written by Daran Little (Coronation Street, Hollyoaks - in the city). We also worked with Kevin Godley (10cc) on show/scrip ideas.
This project ended for reasons I still don't really know about.
Now, I am in an electro pop band called ‘The Ejector Seats’
