I'd like to meet:
Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Jimmy Carter, Yuri Gagarin, Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova, Carl Sagan (before he past away), and a few others....
Music:
I can listen to most types of music. I am a big fan of World Music, Electronic, Ambient Techno, Jazz, Classical, and the old 70's Art Rock era. I am not a fan of Country or Rap... I can and will listen along with someone, but my first choice is totally different. I do like Bluegrass, but anything close to country will not work for me. I do like certain types of Rap, especially old skool LL COOL J with I'm BAD, (Ladies Love Cool James, have to hand it to him on his name). Like I said before I can listen to almost anything and like a wide range... In other words two of my favorite concerts were the London Symphony Orchestra and the other was Primus. Gotta love Les Claypool, amazing what he does with a bass.
Movies:
I hardly watch movies, and rarely go to the theater. I do like certain things, but I am not the traditional movie fan. Check out Spinal Tap, as I love this film..... "yeah but these go to eleven" (nigel is funny as hell in that part). It is hard to believe that everyone pretty much walked out of the Detroit concert while they were rocking away, because these guy's are great.... especially Harry Shearer (who does 22 of the voices on the Simpson's).There is another small unknown film called Slackers. It is not the same film that is recent. This one is over 15 yrs old and is killer. Hard to explain what it is about, but in a nutshell you travel from person to person viewing 2-3 minutes of thier life and some people tie together from time to time. Pretty neat film and was loving it the first time I saw it.
Television:
I hate the boob tube.... well I do like it, just hate to turn it on as it is like a good drug. You cannot get enough at times and it waste all of your time. I have made it a point to try and be TV free. It is hard as the cravings are there. I just freaking want to get in my truck and go buy another one as I am addicted...... In reality I do watch a little bit of the thing, but I am not one to just sit around the couch and know every show and what is going on and care about all that is on there. If you open the front door, you will find nature is out there and plenty of other things to do.
Heroes:
Any person who was in combat during WWI or WWII... actually anyone that is in combat. As old Ike said, war is hell and I agree. I am not for fighting or war, but there is no getting around it at times.
