Ask Heroin Sally is a full grown musical project of Canadian noisecore pioneer Chris Stepniewski. Without going on ahead, I just want to prescribe a load of chaotic, intelligent, disturbing and breathtaking sounds. This Maple musician introduces the full length album Vein from 2007 with nine creepy ambient sound shreds. Let us promptly be served!Vein is lodged under the independent record label Deadsix Communications, the underground music structure of Stepniewski. He even guarantees the concept art of his creative births. Vein convinces with a giant wall of electronic, machinery and industrial noises.Intro "Ill Quiver" hesitates at first, but appears to be a source of power with energetic hardcore beats. The gloomy atmosphere is a decided feat of strength. The next soundscape is less listenable, but more impressive. "Cradle Wire" grants a very enjoyable grim surrealism. "The Cripple Effect" is my favourite track, for what it is worth. This fourth song on Vein releases some unexplainable noises crossed over an ethereal melodic structure. Twisted and emotive. Song six "Presents From Her Face" is just as appealing. Yet it is more hectic and lumbering. This skilled music making results in a powerful mood swing album with tons of variation. It never is too brutal or condensed; a fine equilibrium.Vein, the heady foal of Ask Heroin Sally, definitely is highly skilled chaoscore for broadminded music adepts. Try this sinister and experimental stuff: you'll be impressed with the pounding and disturbing soundscapes.
