"I'm no dictionary but I have enough meaning to define myself."
The name is Ezra Matthew Reyes Talavera. Perfectionist/ OCD/ Over-achiever/ Well-rounded/ Intelligent; you decide. As of April 14, 1989, I am currently 18 years old residing in South City. I am currently a Class of 2007 Alumni of El Camino High. It's a bittersweet moment but hey, life goes on. Several months from now, I will continue my education at CSM and try to transfer to UCD for Economics. It all depends.
I enjoy going out with friends and family, driving anywhere with my invisible car, eating, going on "adventures", sleeping, meeting new people, watching movies, having deep conversations, laughing, and music. Music is a must and I'm pretty well rounded when it comes to it. R&B. Hip Hop. Bay Slaps. Slow Jamz. Raggae. Alternative. Jazz. Trance. Practically, everything else in between.
I can honestly say that high school is an experience that can change your life in either a positive or negative way. Yes, we have the ups and downs, lefts and rights, and the diagonals. I can happily say it changed mine in a positive way. In the beginning of high school, I really didn't have anyone to help me. I admit, I was shy and making new friends was something outside of my comfort zone. As the years passed by, I became more open and I was, still am, able to take in any form of criticism. I met so many great friends out there that helped me change to what I am today. "I am what you paint; so use your colors wisely." I'm the type that usually keeps things to themselves but my closest friends knows w..sup. They helped me through the tough times and gave me advice when I needed it. They supported me in almost every way and gave me a laugh when it's needed.
"There comes a time in your life when you realize who will always matter, who does matter, and who never did matter. So don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason they didn't make it to your future."
High school also led me to believe that individuality and self-expression is important. It showed me that one should always take chances that will have a positive outcome. Don't ever let anyone get in the way of something that you believe and want to achieve. Yes, I've made some pretty bad mistakes here and there and regretted some things, but learning from them is what makes you grow. I strive to become a better person everyday. The feeling of jealousy, sadness, and anger truly sucks, but whatev. After all, no one is perfect. I'm content with what life has to offer and how it's running. Life is a huge obstacle full of surprises that we have to overcome and I hope that I make something out of myself and give back in return.
