I'm a computer programmer/builder, with precicely NO social life, whatsoever. I basically just work (I work in retail of all things, btw), and sit in my room working on my computers. I program in VB.NET, C++ & C#, DarkBASIC, Delphi/Pascal, CBM Basic (think C64 & C128, VERY depricated), and I'm an adequate HTML scripter. I build and repair just about every kind of (modern) computer, from Pentium 1 boat anchors all the way up to Athlon 64 workhorses.
I mostly program useful utilities for data compression routines, or AAC (FAAC) front ends. I also program games using both GDI+ (board/card games), and DirectX9/OpenGL (first person shooters, racing games).
I currently work in retail, but I'm just killing time saving up cash very slowly to get back into college and further my education and get a "REAL" job doing something I enjoy instead of stocking shelves and operating a cash register.
I'm not the kind of person you would find at a bar, party, bowling alley (with a little exception here), dance club, skating rink, box socials or whatever the devil they are calling these things these days. I don't smoke, do drugs, or drink alcoholic beverages, nor have I ever tried any of the former (and never intend to). I'm kind of a loner, and I'm starting to get used to the idea that it's always going to be this way.
I do love my music though. I have quite a collection of music at my disposal, though I usually settle for a good mix of classic rock (eagles, led zeppelin), modern rock (Trapt, greenday), heavy metal (disturbed, system of a down), rock/rap (ICP, limp bizkit), and occasionally, when I can't fall asleep, classical music to calm me down a bit.
I drink Dr. Thunder/Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, Iced Tea (with lemon please), and similar beverages (NEVER Coca Cola specifically. I don't like the stuff). I like Spaghetti, Pizza, Mac & Cheese (Who doesn't, honestly?), anything with ham in it, and I ABSOLUTELY HATE Shrinp and most other foods derived from oceanic lifeforms. (Who can even eat shrinp anyway? They are the bugs of the sea! It's like eatin a plate of grass hoppers for pete's sake!)
I love driving, especially long distances. I used to live in Wyoming, where I lived 53 mi from work and college, meaning that on a daily basis I was pleasured with over 100 mi of driving at speeds about 75 mi/hr (speed limit on internstates in WY is 75, btw).
I also enjoy playing video games. My favorate Generas are Fighting, Racing, First person shooter (FPS), and Role Playing Game (RPG). I'm nearly a master at Street Fighter Alpha 3 (PSX), as my brother and I played that game probably more than 500 hrs altogether. But I have to say of all the games I've ever played, the Final Fantasy series have a special place in my heart. My favorate FF is hard to pick. I suppose it breaks down into 2 categories: for Storyline, it has to be FF7, and for battle system, FF8. I also have played Twisted Metal 4 literally to death (100's of hours at that game, time well spent I might add), as well as Vigilante 8. Mortal Kombat 4 was also a favorite for awhile, until the disc became damaged (moment of silence......).
But enough about me. I'm sure that is way more than anyone will ever read about me.
