About Me

Personal Page: www.myspace.com/devilsheep
Hello there. My name is Josh, as you may have noticed. I am currently a student at the University of Utah planning to major in...well, something. I am very comfortable with MIDI sequencing (don't worry, I use high quality samples) right now (using Sonar 5 and a plethora of other tools), and can create quality works that provoke emotion and perhaps a little excitement. I'm always willing to write anyone a piece, or work on a project...an animation, film, what have you. I have the tools, you have the ideas, and I put that into sound.
This little undecorated MySpace page is here for networking with other students, composers, filmmakers, anybody who's interested in good music and skillful writing. I upload new pieces on a constant basis (as often as I finish them). I appreciate comments and even offers to work with anyone on a project, because I am more than willing to write music for you. A long term goal of mine is to eventually score film, tv, whatever people need music for...you get the gist. Enjoy the music I am creating, and I will try to leave thoughtful comments with everyone that deserves them.

I am somewhat knowledgeable on the software side of electronic composing, but it's always nice to hear what other composers use, their techniques, etc. Share your ideas, and I'll share mine. That's what this community is here for, eh? We're not all just a bunch of show-offs, are we? :)

I'm working on a new piece called Versus. It's about 5 minutes so far...a long one, but it's quite a ride. After I get some finishing touches and a good finale, I'll upload it to the site. Watch out t...
